Forgiveness 103: Forgiving Others

Building on the forgiveness overview (Forgiveness 101) and experiencing the full depths of it yourself (Forgiveness 102), you are now ready for the piece that is a hallmark of our faith: Forgiving others. What do you do when forgiveness is not coming easily? Or a new believer ask you how to forgive someone and you find yourself stumbling over your answer and eventually say, “You just forgive them.”

Then this workshop is for you!

Christ died for your sins . . . but sometimes it’s tricky to extend His forgiveness to others. In this workshop Shonna will equip you to:

—Answer the question, “Why we need to forgive others?” Beyond “just because you do.”

—Walk you through a process of how you can forgive others

—Be aware of who you may need to forgive (as a cross-cultural worker you’ll be surprised who is on the list)

—Lead yourself and others through a “Forgiveness Exercise”

Shonna Ingram bio:

Shonna Ingram has been involved in cross-cultural work since 2007, when she and her family of six headed to Tanzania, East Africa to translate the Bible. Since then she has experienced many of life’s ambiguous transitions and she knew since the beginning of her ministry she wanted to support others in their transitions. She has become a Master Trauma Healing Facilitator and Career Transitions Specialist; this combination has given her a unique approach to working with cross-cultural workers. She is the founder of the Renewed Hope Approach and is the author of Your Path to Renewed Hope workbook series in which she provides practical processing tools to help create a new hope for the next life season.

What if I am a more sensitive area of the world?
We are aware of your sensitivities! I have asked presenters not to use the “m” word and instead talk about cross-cultural work, global workers, and our line of work. You, however, know your context and if these guidelines are enough for you.
