Join in this Lenten Retreat

Friends, I (Amy) have started combing through the answers you shared on the recent survey on what you wonder might jeopardize you being on the field. (Results will be shared in March or April!)

Based on initial review of your input, we want to find a way to create opportunities for you to (a) access resources that meet you where you are and (b) let you interact with others who will get whatever it is you’re facing.

With that in mind, we didn’t want to wait until we’ve gone through all of the data to start getting resources to you. If you know anything about Global Trellis, we tend to jump right in :).

Lori Ferrell will lead a live hour-and-a-half Lenten Retreat for you on February 21st! The retreat is titled “Streams in the Wilderness: Finding God in Barren Seasons” and will be from 7:00 a.m. MST/9:00 a.m. EST  to 8:30 a.m. MTS/ 10:30 a.m. EST. This retreat is 1.5 hours. See the time zone converter for this event here.

Lori explains the retreat this way:

“This retreat offers us the invitation to pause and name the wilderness seasons—whether we find ourselves in one now, or simply want to create space to reflect on the wilderness Jesus spent 40 days in before starting his ministry. Wilderness can be a disorienting space. How does God meet us in these places? Through contemplative practices (lectio, breath prayer, art, and personal and group reflection) we will reflect on how the wilderness shapes us, and how God invites us to know who we are and whose we are when all else feels stripped. Together we will notice how God wants to meet us in these seemingly desolate and disorienting places.”

This retreat is open to men and women and will not be recorded to offer a more intimate experience.

We truly hope you can attend. These conversations around meaningful topics are rich.
