I say this every week, but this week, friends, we’ll spend time with the Triune God reflecting on a part of life that can be easy to shove to the margins and forget. You and I have bodies. Bodies that can do amazing things—you’re probably reading this because your hands, eyes, and brain work! And that can get sick, can break, or betray us other ways.
Here’s a snippet from this week’s worksheet: “The emotional, relational, spiritual, and physical parts of us are encompassed in the whole of our spirituality and are equally necessary to explore as part of a Rule of Life. In considering our bodies, seeing it as God’s indwelling means we recognize that our physical bodies and well-being are important to God because matter matters in the kingdom. It’s important to reflect on the care you provide to God’s home. Your body is his holy temple.”
We’re praying for you this week as you consider what it means to be an embodied soul.
