Holy Week stands as a pivot point for all of history. The Bible records events, prophecies fulfilled, and the moment Love offered all of Himself for all of us, His beloveds.
It is a sacred week.
Let me invite you to walk through Holy Week with Jesus.
Each day of Holy Week, read one of the scriptures for that day, then behold Jesus.
Simply watch what He does. Listen to what He says. Observe how His emotions are on display.
Now, imagine you are right beside Him in that moment.
What do you feel as you behold Him? Notice the look in His eyes. Attend to the way your heart responds.
What does He say to you in that moment? And what might He also be saying to you right now?
What words do you offer back to Him?
Use your senses to smell the smells, taste the tastes, see the sights, hear the sounds, feel the textures that are woven through the dusty sacred days.
What surprises you?
What offends you?
What humbles you?
What pivots you?
Close each encounter with Jesus in prayer to the Father, Son, and Spirit about what you experienced.
May this Holy Week be a holy walk with the One who came, comes, and will come again. Savor time in the presence of the One who He calls you His beloved. He conveys His love by His outstretched arms and heart upon the cross.
