What do these three have in common?
—Aging parents
—Writing newsletters and raising support
—Providing member care or training
Though it might sound like the set up to a joke, it’s not! Instead, August is like Christmas, with everyone getting something!
If you have aging parents

Thanks to the many who participated in our survey on Aging Parents and Cross-Cultural Work. What came through loud and clear is that everyone’s story is unique and holds both beauty and pain. When 12 clear themes emerged, we thought, “Hey, a year has 12 months!” We also thought, “Because everyone’s situation is different, instead of creating material that may not hit your specific need, what if we have intentional conversations and support each other around these 12 themes for the next year?”
Thanks to those who went before you and helped us understand the path you’re on, you don’t have to go it alone when it comes to navigating aging parents and cross-cultural work! For the next 12 months you can be part of a community who is walking a similar path.

If you write newsletters and raise support

This month’s challenge is “7 Days to a Cleaner Newsletter List.” It’s the very first challenge we did three years ago. If you did it then (like I did), it’s time to do it again; and if you’ve never done it, here’s what you can expect:
- An up-to-date mailing list by the end of the seven days.
- A small task for each day.
- Feeling connected to and grateful for your supporters.
Join the challenge here. We’ve put the workshop Raising Support From the Field on a 50% off sale to go with the newsletter challenge! Get the workshop here.
If you provide member care or training

Over the past two months, Russell Semon has administered the Cerny Smith Stress Assessment to close to 50 cross cultural workers through Global Trellis and some patterns began to emerge. NOTE: The individual results and responses are confidential and will not be made available.
Instead of simply noticing this pattern and hoping for the best, we want to help you understand the components of Foundational Stress and how to help your people.
During this webinar we’ll share the results and the components of the Foundational domain. In addition, we’ll offer suggestions and direction on how to help your people in these areas.
Join us August 17th at 8:00 a.m. MST/10:00 a.m. EST/3:00 p.m. London
Insights on Stress is for Member Care Providers and Training Planners. Register here.
Though your life might look different than others—aging parents, hating newsletter writing (maybe loving it!), or supporting those on the field—the good news is that you can have your specific need resourced this month!
We love helping you be able to play your part in the Great Commission!
